Inside the Qaitbay Fort is the Qaitbay Maritime Museum, which houses a collection of various interesting artifacts from the wars it has witnessed. You can see there relics from the Roman naval battles, the Napoleonic wars in which the fort was bombarded, and the British wars in which it was captured. There is also an interesting collection of marine membranes and marine life.
