The Hurghada Museum is the first antiquities museum in the Red Sea Governorate and the first museum established in cooperation with the private sector. It is managed by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and houses around 2,000 artifacts that tell the story of Egypt from the ancient Egyptian civilization through the Greek and Roman periods to the Coptic and Islamic eras and modern times. The artifacts on display embody the spirit and purpose of the museum: to show the beauty of a multi-faceted Egypt.
