St. John’s is a collection of small reefs that offer some of the most spectacular underwater views in the Red Sea. Habili Ali Reef features huge gorgonians and black corals. The Grey Reef hosts silvertip sharks and hammerheads – on its western side. Habili Gafaar is a collection of soft corals where snappers, butterfly fish and barracudas cavort. To the north, you’ll find St. John’s Cave, an area where shallow cracks open up into small caves – a sight you will not soon forget. Liveabord liveaboards depart from Marsa Alam to St. John. The programme usually includes at least 2 days on site, with morning, afternoon and night dives.
