Careless Reef is justifiably one of the most popular dive sites in Hurghada, with its many coral forests and dense fish population, including the occasional hammerhead shark, stingray, tuna and barracuda. However, the reef is famous for the large population of giant moray eels and other moray eels that thrive here thanks to the many donations of food from the dive guides. The reef itself consists of two coral towers that brush the surface of the water. The valley between these peaks is about 16 meters deep and offers a variety of diving opportunities for less experienced divers. A few meters to the east and well beyond 40 m, experienced divers will find numerous caves to explore.
