The Valley of the Kings is located at the ancient site of Thebes on the west bank of Luxor and is the ancient burial place of many rulers of the New Kingdom of Egypt. A truly impressive site! There you will find, among others, the tomb of Tutankhamun, discovered almost intact in 1922, and the tomb of Ramses IV. With one ticket, you can visit 3 of the 63 tombs, with the exception of Tutankhamun’s tomb, for which you need an additional ticket. Although the tomb alone is worth a visit, you must visit the Egyptian Museum in Cairo to see the treasures Tutankhamun was buried with.
